# Teams, keys and billing

> What the console gives a workspace: usage, prepaid credit with auto top-up and a monthly limit, API keys, team roles, cost centers, an audit log and referrals.

## Usage and spend

Usage in the console shows what the workspace has spent over time, and each app's page shows its own usage and cost. Every figure comes from the same per-second metering as your balance.

## Credit, auto top-up and a monthly limit

- You pay from prepaid credit; when it reaches zero, work stops instead of running up an invoice.
- Auto top-up buys more credit with your saved card when the balance runs low.
- A monthly limit, $500 unless you change it, refuses new work and purchases once the month's usage reaches it.

## API keys

Keys in the console creates keys for CI, scripts and agents: set one as `KLIO_TOKEN`, or send it as `Authorization: Bearer` to an endpoint. A key can be revoked at any time.

## Team roles

| Admin | Everything: stops and starts apps, manages keys, billing and people. |
| Manager | Sees apps, logs, usage and billing. |
| Member | Sees apps, logs, usage and billing. |

Admins invite people by email from Team in the console.

## Cost centers

A cost center groups apps, so spend can be split by team, game or client. Each can have a monthly alert amount that flags it once its spend reaches it; nothing is stopped. Spend by cost center can be exported.

## Audit log

The audit log records who changed keys, members, billing and apps in the workspace. Events are kept for one year, and the log can be filtered and downloaded.

## Referrals

Each workspace has a referral link under Referrals in the console. When a new workspace signs up through it and adds a card, both workspaces get $10 of credit, up to 20 rewards a month. The [Terms of Service](https://klio.tech/terms#referrals) give the full rules.
